Admin function request to clear in progress tasks

Relevant use case scenario in ticket:
The tasks are comprised of a few different rounds and SOME of the rounds have been completed but others have not.
Is there a way to “clear” these overdue tasks?
Would one possibility be to “revise” the task to remove the rounds that were NOT completed and republish the tasks?

I agree with this. There needs to be a way to clear overdue "tasks" as it clutters up the interface.
