BSS11 releases

Upgrading a device to BSS11 requires TraX app version 3.5.4. Supported firmware upgrade paths:

• All BSS10 releases
• All BSS08 releases¹

¹ Upgrading from BSS08c to BSS11 is compatible with both the Android and iOS TraX apps. However, upgrading to BSS11 from BSS08a or BSS08b is supported only in the iOS TraX app.

BSS11 - 2025-03-07

Changed

• Reverted the wheel end alert detection system to a more stable mode of operation.
• Doubled the duration of advertising bursts to enhance the likelihood of being discovered by other devices.

Removed

• The Reset Device Alarms by Magnet feature has been removed. To reset device alarms, use the TraX mobile apps.
• The data frame no longer includes Temperature Warning Status and Vibration Monitoring Status.

BSS10a - 2024-02-28

• Changed the LED blinking behavior for temperature warning from 5s to 10s to reduce power consumption.

• Incorrect triggering of temperature warning at temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.

BSS10 - 2023-09-29

• Self-Training Algorithm:
  • Introducing the new TraX self-training algorithm that adapts to the current wheelend, regardless of axle or vehicle type.
  • Adds support for driven axles.
  • Improves confidence level of wheel end failure detection by up to 95%.
• BLE Advertising interval has been increased by 100% to prevent possible sensor data packet loss.

Added

• Added ability to reset the sensor by a magnet to simplify sensor management for fleet operators, providing more flexibility and convenience.
• Added temperature warning module. An alarm is activated if the temperature surpasses a high threshold for a specified duration. Temperature alarm is visualized via LED and added to the BLE advertising payload.
• Added new data to the sensor frame format. See TraX - WEM200 - Technical Specification Connected for details:
• Temperature alarm status.
• Vibration monitoring statuses: (0) Vibration monitoring active, 1) Learning phase complete, (2) Learning phase ongoing, and (3) Inconsistent data

• Bluetooth bugfix: On some Android Phones (BLE 5.0 or higher), a connection was not possible.
• CONN_CE_INSTANT value is now properly calculated based on the connect event counter
