Basic electrical analysis in Observer/IMx

More and more customer are asking us to implement in the same device the capability to measure some electrical parameter to follow the asset failure in parallel of the vibration analysis. Today IMx is able to perform a FFT on an analog input, it is a good starting point, but it is not enough. We do not need to redesign and re-engineer the Electrical analysis into the IMX, but we just would like some calculation which are available for accelerometers, become available for any analog input like mV/A.
List of calculation: 1- Calculate the unbalance between 3 phases: a. Inputs are 3 channels: perform the FFT on each and calculating the unbalance in percentage ((Max value of the 3 phases – Min value of the 3 phases)/average value of the 3 phases)x 100%. This calculation give the rate of unbalance between the 3 phases 2- Modulation rate: it is an envelopp custom band calculation on the analog input (feature already available for accelerometers input) 3- Then a diag rule which calculate the quantity of lateral band of a frequency. This should also be available for point from analog input mV/unit.
Then we will be capable to connect current clamp to the IMx and then perform these basics calculations. These are an enormous add value to measure the performance of an asset and estimating if we can implement a performance contract for this asset, with this customer.
