    It is also important to add capability to calculate (add, subtract, zero out, divide, sum) base and rharmonics of the shaft frequency from Cepstrum in trend and diagnosis rules.  

    I cannot confirm, no value added with cepstrum to my opinion. If you want to do scientific calculations you could also use Phoenix API and calculate the data in the way you like.

    Significant value added with Cepstrum function and its simple postprocessing, no need for scientific calculations. Information based on real cases with online system confirm that only Cepstrum can provide early enough and business beneficial information.

    Ceptsrum itself is pure spectra based on spectra, would early detection need more functions like descripted above and would there be a benefit for good gear diagonsis rules or our known Harmonic Activity Index from Analyst?
