Disable trend rolling buffer function on demand
Classification societies can demand that end customers or service providers have all data stored for a certain time, e.g 5 years. My suggestion is that SKF changes the Trend rolling buffer function so that it can be fully disabled leaving all data intact, and this should be disabled by default. If for some reason someone needs the ease of automatic data aggregation (also loosing data) then and only then the option should be used. Now data is deleted without asking it from users.

I think this could lead to very large databases, especially with trend storage set to 1/minute.

Database size is no concern these days. We could certainly handle big database sizes. The option to keep all data should be optional and by default it should be activated. What SKF should offer is more "manual" pruning options for the data.
