SKF Microlog CMXA-75 Unable to Connect to Observer 13.5 (Windows 10) – Driver Error
Dear SKF Support,
We are currently attempting to connect a Microlog CMXA-75 to Observer (OB) version 13.5 on a Windows 10 system.
We have followed the official “Serial Communication Setup Guide” provided by SKF; however, the device is still unable to establish a connection and a driver-related issue persists.
The current setup and status are as follows:
-
Firmware has been upgraded to version 4.06
-
Device communication mode is set to Serial over USB (PC Comms → Serial)
-
SKF Sync Driver has been installed successfully
-
The device is recognized in Device Manager as “SKF Microlog (COM3)”
-
Basic hardware checks have been completed (USB cable replaced, different USB ports tested, device and PC rebooted)
However, the issue remains:
-
Device status shows: “Currently, this hardware device is not connected (Code 45)”
-
The device is not able to communicate with the Observer software
We would appreciate your assistance in confirming whether this issue may be related to:
-
Compatibility between Firmware 4.06 and the installed Sync Driver
-
Possible USB communication module failure on the device
-
Any known issues or recommended troubleshooting steps
We can provide additional screenshots or logs if required.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
-
