Have the harmonics of the kinematic frequencies represented on the spectra
Request from a major French distributor (SEFI) who has his own conditional maintenance team (over 10 people). :
- Have the harmonics of the kinematic frequencies represented on the spectra (and not only the fundamental component), as is the case on Analyst.
Note: The customer has been presented that it is possible to automatically set a harmonic cursor on the kinematic frequencies using the combination of “Ctrl” keys and left or right arrows.
-
If such think is coming please make it optional for those who like that.
Working with complex machines (and worse case with multiple alternative parts, e.g. bearings) the view can be overloaded. In order to statisfy both needs the use should have same controll about the visibility.

This is an important feature that we would also like to have.
To avoid the view overload in the previous comment, it would also be advantages to display only one fault frequency with its harmonics at a time, and move to the next frequency with a shortcut or menu button

Agree with selecting one kinematic frequency displayed or multiple with harmonics displayed when a frequency is being displayed.
When frequencies are being displayed and you go to pervious or next measurement it should update the frequency with the speed of the spectrum or timewave being viewed.
Likewise when traversing to the next point the frequencies should be calculated from the speed of the spectrum being viewed..

I think this has been requested many times before on and off forum. SKF should really include this in the next version.

The displayed frequency is today fixed on the scale, if Hz it keeps Hz for Harmonic cursor vice versa for Order in X.
If frequency is shown by machine part it's also linked to the speed of the spectra.
What we see also here is different way of working. You can open a spectra, check for conspious Frequency and ask with cursor (harmonic, sideband) what is that frequency. The other way is to display the relevant frequency in advance and check if they are upcoming on the hits.
The option to go through different relevant frequencies sounds nice, BUT only for simple assets. Considering typical gear boxes where you will quickly end up in 100 and more frequency parts (Gears, Shafts, Bearing with BPFO, BPFI, BSF & FTF) in one machine. That would result in a lot of clicks to check all frequencies and would lead to much higher work load.
I think it's important that such solution should not mess up existing Users of advanced and complex drive trains in Online Systems of today.
