Buffer-Data Limitation Changes: Protean/Diagnosis vs 3D plots/other plots

Today we "Max. Dynamic values to Retrieve" in the Buffer for displaying both Protean, Diagnosis, and 3D, topology and Meas.Date table.

 

In practice, the 3D plot is very difficult to analyze when you have a lot of measurements included (causes long plot load time for 3D plot (and also makes 3D difficult to read), and the protean/diagnosis plots usually need 400-1000 measurements to discern Diagnosis trends.

 

So it will be better to separate these two buffer settings (For Protean/Diagnosis and for other Plots) to avoid this frequent buffer readjusting when you use several plots for analysis.

 

Requirements:

 

1) Split data limitation settings for Protean/Diagnosis and other remaining Dynamic plots

  Just noticed that the buffer for dynamic data to retrieve can be set separately on the History, Waterfall, and Protean Diag Plots. When the values to retrieve are changed , only the active plot is updated. Attached pictures shows 6 results on the History plot, and 120 on the Protean Plot. 

  It does require that the all the plots you want to see are open already, and you may have to redo the buffer settings once or twice, but moving to the next measurement point the different settings should stay as set. I use dual screens to fit all the plots.

  So there is a way to manipulate Observer into doing this, but this is more of a bug than a feature.  If the buffer settings are changed and the link is enabled, then this should apply to all plots that are currently open.  Otherwise I have to go to each plot and individually change.
