Executing Scripts to Rebuild Indexes and Shrink Database

As databases grow over time, the length of time it takes to display information
on the screen, create workspaces, or navigate through the application may
increase (response time becomes slower). This article describes how to execute
scripts to rebuild indexes and shrink the database which yields improved
response time improvements much like the response time improvements that
result from defragmenting a hard drive.
