The user interface settings, commonly referred to as User Account Control (UAC) settings, in Windows 7 was updated by Microsoft. The implemented changes have a more user-friendly approach as it is now possible for a local user to control the level of access he/she requires.
In Windows 7, UAC is controlled by a slider bar which allows the user to adjust the UAC level so it rests somewhere in between the highest extreme and lowest extreme, as desired.
>> Lowering the UAC scale will obviously affect the level of protection against unauthorized and malicious access. It is always recommended that local IT personnel be consulted before implementing any significant changes to the PC.
With such fine-tuning, the ability to ‘disable’ or ‘turn off’ this feature is no longer available. So how
can a user disable UAC - or, at the least, how can a user turn off notifications so they appear less often? This article provides instructions on how to do so.
