Summary
SKF currently does not recommend installing the Microlog Analyzer dBX installer (SKF_Microlog_Analyzer_dBX_v1.1_installer.exe) on a local PC.
These files are strictly reserved for installing onto a Microlog Analyzer dBX CMVA 90.
However, if these files are installed on a PC, there is a strong possibility that USB memory sticks will no longer work on the PC.
When you insert the USB memory stick into the PC’s USB port, you will hear the sound indicating it was recognized, but it will not appear as a drive in File Explorer.
Solution
Follow the steps below to ensure the USB memory stick is recognized by the PC.
- On your PC, in the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select Device Manager from the menu.
-
Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers and locate the USB Mass Storage Device with a warning symbol.
-
Right-click on the USB Mass Storage Device and select the Update Driver option…
-
At the bottom of the screen, select Browse my computer for drivers.
- Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
.. - Select USB Mass Storage Device and click Next.
- You should now see the driver update and eventually receive the following message:
