Summary
Use the following step by step instructions to create an overall plant vibration value for Velocity in in/s (inch per second) report.
Solution
-
- First, create a Workspace in Analyst for all Velocity (in/sec) measurements.
- Place the cursor at the top of the Hierarchy or a specific section of the Hierarchy that you wish to include in the report.
- Select Insert > Apply Filter...
-
Select POINT, Setup, Full Scale Unit and in/s label from the list.
- Click Share As... and give the filter a meaningful name.
- Click OK, and the Filtered Workspace will filter the information, leaving ONLY those POINTs in which the Full Scale Unit label = in/s.
- Now you can create a New Report in @ptitude Analyst. Select File > Reports > Add > Last Measurement
- Open the General tab to customize Name, Title, Header and Footer for the report.
- Open the Definition tab and select Columns. In the example below, we include Machine name, POINT name, Date/Time, Last Value and Units. We exclude Previous Value, % change and Alarm Status from the report.
-
Select Measurement History, and under Measurements from the last fixed number of days, enter the desired number of days.
-
The Assignment was left with the default option of Selected Node… Press OK.
-
The report can now be run against the Filtered Workspace. Select the Workspace and click Generate.
- Bellow is an example of the Report that we generated in our example.
- Right-click anywhere in the Report and select Select All, then right-click again and select Copy.
- Open up Microsoft Excel file and right-click in the A1 box and select Paste. This should paste the report results into Excel as shown below.
NOTE: Close out the Report window. If the Report window is left open, you can experience issues when attempting to paste into Excel.
All Velocity in/s values will appear as shown below in the G column. From here, you can use any empty cell to create a formula =AVERAGE(G7:G154) in our case below. This value will be the average overall velocity value for all of my in/s measurements over the past 365 days.
- First, create a Workspace in Analyst for all Velocity (in/sec) measurements.
