SKF @ptitude Analyst allows for data import and export via SKF-proprietary data files commonly-referred to as .MAB files. There are different ways of importing the data in these files.
During an import, the application will look for existing elements in the database. Instead of overwriting an existing element, a second copy of the element is created. Because an element with the same name exists, the newly-created element name will be given a numerical suffix which is appended to its name (e.g. .1, .2, .3, etc.).
This is especially common with frequencies. Duplicate frequencies can be identified by their number appended to the end of the name. The duplicate entries create clutter, and it's not always easy to clean up this list. The below article will provide instructions on how to remove these unwanted entries.
