Summary
Some setups might require two speeds, for example, a fixed motor speed with a variable machine speed. The IMx can be configured to use both fixed and variable speeds.
Solution
The fixed speed should be configured as an IMx-derived point
using a Constant Type for the speed. As this can be downloaded to the IMx.
The machine parts will need to be configured with two chains.
One is linked to the variable speed point the other to the fixed speed-derived point.
Both the derived point and speed points must be set as Machine parameters in the Machine properties in the hierarchy in Observer. This will cause the IMx to attach the speed data to any measurements taken for that machine.
The IMx should then be able to track both shaft speeds at the same time in the same spectra.
