Summary
In some configurations, @ptitude Observer will hide the alarm levels in the Trend plots. For example, when displaying several trend lines simultaneously, the alarm levels will be hidden.
Solution
Some common causes for hidden alarm trends are as follows.
- Verify that alarm levels are enabled and set for the specific measurement Point.
The trend will display historical alarms. Any changes made will only affect new data Points. Historical data will retain the original alarm settings.
- Verify that only one trend is selected for display.
If multiple trends are selected, the alarm levels in the trend plots will be hidden.
- Under Edit > User Preference > Diagram, toggle Graph settings applies to:
This will change which settings are used.
If this solves the issue, the settings saved in the database for Everyone or Just me are corrupt. They will need to be cleared out by SKF Technical Support Group or another database administrator.
