Summary
When upgrading the Data Bridge service from an older version, the service may fail to start during the final step of installation. This issue is caused by a difference in naming conventions between versions.
To identify the problem, open Windows Event Viewer and check Windows Logs > Application for an error message that lists the incorrect file name.
Below is an example error message from Windows Event Viewer on a system using German language settings.
Solution
Create a copy of the missing language file and rename it from the English file name to the correct localized name as listed in the full error message.
To meet the requirements of the Data Bridge installer, create a copy of the language file (German.lng) and rename it to the localized name expected by the system (Deutsch.lng), as specified in the error message.
This approach can be applied to other languages as well, simply match the file name to the localized version indicated in the error log.
