Summary
If the @ptitude Observer installation is damaged or corrupted, it may throw an exception about missing files.
If the Observer installation is damaged, with either missing or damaged program files, some features or sections may stop working. This issue can usually be restored by running a repair of the Observer installation.
For example, the following error can be seen when opening the IMx/Mascon devices window with a broken installation.
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Modbus, Version=12.2.0.29, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: 'Modbus, Version=12.2.0.29, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'

Solution
- Open the Windows Settings and go to Apps
- Find @ptitude Observer in the list, click on it and click the Uninstall button
- In the Observer bundle window select Repair
If this does not help, uninstall Observer and then reinstall it using the downloaded installation file.
