Using @ptitude Observer to create a template that can be used to configure a stand alone IMx

Summary

Using IMx Manager to configure a stand alone IMx provides limited configuration options. If a more complex configuration is required, this can be accomplished by first constructing the configuration in @ptitude Observer and then exporting it as a template that can be loaded to a stand alone IMx, from IMx Manager.

Prerequisites

• An @ptitude Observer installation, version 10.5 or higher.
• An Enlight Centre account with IMx Manager access to a company.

Procedure

1. In @ptitude Observer create an IMx and configure it with all the measurement points and communication options needed.
2. From the IMx/MasCon devices dialog save this configuration using the Save Config button.
3. Open Enlight Centre go to Hierarchy, then Company and drag the template to 'Additional files' to upload it.
4. Open the IMx Manager app and select Settings then IMx Assets and verify that the templates are updated.
5. When using IMx Manager to configure the target IMx as standalone, under Measurement Configuration choose 'template' and select the earlier created template from the list.
